Heirloom Wedding Albums

Telling the story of your wedding day.

Your wedding day, brought to life.

Why Albums Matter

|

Your wedding photos deserve to be experienced, not just stored on a hard drive. A handcrafted album turns fleeting moments into a lasting treasure, ensuring that your memories don’t just live online but become a tangible part of your family’s history. And an album is more than just photos bound together — it’s a curated work of art. Clean layouts, thoughtful storytelling, and timeless design come together to create something that feels both modern and enduring. It’s a piece you’ll want displayed on your coffee table, ready to revisit and relive for years to come.

Customizations

Customization I

Album Size

|

Our albums are available in three sizes — 12″ x 12″, 10″ x 10″, and 8″ x 8″ — so you can select the format that feels best for your story. Each album begins with 50 pages (25 spreads), offering ample space to showcase the highlights of your day. Need more room? Additional spreads can be added to include even more of your favorite moments.

Customization II

Cover Color

|

Choose from a curated collection of linen cover colors, ranging from timeless neutrals to rich, statement hues. Each shade is thoughtfully selected to beautifully complement your wedding story. Linen covers are crafted from woven, high-quality fabric that feels both durable and refined — a classic material known for its texture, elegance, and longevity. Whether you lean toward soft, romantic tones or bold, modern shades, your cover color sets the mood for how your album will be experienced for years to come.

Customization III

Text Color

|

Your chosen text is imprinted directly into the linen cover through debossing, creating a subtle yet tactile impression. Debossing is a technique where your chosen text is pressed into the album cover material, creating an impression that sinks down into the surface. Unlike embossing (which is raised), debossing gives a subtle, indented look and adds a timeless, elegant touch to your album.

Customization IV

Cover Font

|

Select from a range of typefaces, each chosen for its timeless aesthetic. Whether you prefer something classic and understated or modern and bold, the font sets the tone for your album. Fonts bring personality to the design — from sleek, minimalist lettering to romantic, script-inspired styles — allowing you to choose the look that best reflects you.

Customization V

Cover Text

|

Most couples choose to feature their first names, their new last name, their wedding date, or a combination. Others opt for a favorite phrase, initials, or something that feels uniquely theirs. No matter what you choose, this personalized detail turns your album into a meaningful keepsake that is entirely your own.

Design Process

Step One

Select Your Photos

|

Once your full wedding gallery has been delivered, you’ll receive a link to easily choose the images you’d like included in your album. You may select up to 100 favorites — though not every image may appear in the final layout, depending on pacing and design flow. When your selections are complete, simply submit them through the gallery system or notify us via email.

Step Two

Review the Design

|

Using your selections, we’ll create the first draft of your album design and share a PDF mockup with you by email. From there, you’ll have the opportunity to request photo swaps or layout changes. Two rounds of revisions are included so we can ensure your album is perfect; additional rounds beyond the third draft may be completed at $100 per round, as outlined in your contract.

Step Three

Customize Your Album

|

After approving your final design, it’s time to make your customizations. You’ll select the album cover color, font, and debossed text details to make your album truly yours. If you’d like to see a cover mockup prior to ordering, we’re happy to provide one. Once customizations are confirmed, your album is sent into production and delivered to you — ready to be cherished for a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: The album included in Jill Sahner Photography wedding collections is a 50 page (25 spread) 12” x 12” lay flat album with a linen cover and debossed lettering.

A: When an album is opened and laid flat, the entire width of the pages is the spread. A “spread” consists of two facing pages.

A: You are able to select up to 100 photos for your wedding album.

A: Absolutely! If you would like more than 100 photos, you can select as many as you would like included and notify us via email that you have completed your selection. We will close your selection and design the album using the photos you have selected. Keep in mind, selecting over 100 photos will require additional pages, which are an additional cost.

A: We try to use as many photos as possible from your selection while still maintaining a balanced design. We will primarily exclude photos that are similar to other photos selected to ensure we are utilizing each spread well. However, the unused photos will be displayed on the last page of your mockup so you can decide if you’d like to swap them back in.

A: Yes — however, these are lay flat albums so they, big surprise, lay flat when opened! If photos do fall across the seam in your design, there is no disruption in the printing. Although the seam is visible, it does not alter the photo itself.

A: Of course, parent albums can be added for an additional cost. Most parents opt for a slightly smaller album (10” x 10”) and we can provide a custom quote based on what you are looking for.

A: They can be, or we can do a different design entirely. Most parents do prioritize their own families in their albums, and that’s totally fine!

A: Per your contract, you must complete your album selection and customizations within 90 days of receiving your album selection email. After 90 days, there is a reactivation fee of $100 to move forward with the order. This ensures we are able to get your album to you ASAP!
