Elegant Estate Wedding at The Briarcliff Manor

Briarcliff Manor, New York

A beautiful March day celebrating sweet Frances and Nicholas! Each of my winter weddings this year have been unseasonably warm, and (thankfully) this one was no different! Although the morning started out rainy, by the time Frances and Nicholas were officially married it was nothing but sunny skies for these two.

Frances and Nicholas recently got engaged in September of 2022! As Frances tells it, “We met through a mutual friend January of 2019. We were both too shy to actually speak to one another, but there was definitely something there. It was definitely love at first sight, but we were younger and had other goals to achieve. We reconnected in 2021, but before that we often though about each other and our encounters. We ALWAYS bumped into each other. We became friends in 2021 and look back to our encounters with fondness. Our story is a representation of what’s meant to be is meant to be. All odds might’ve been against us, but we found each other.”

When it comes to Nicholas’s proposal, Frances had an idea it was coming! “He told me to wear THE OUTFIT and get my nails done that week. We had plans to go see a band we really liked in NYC, so I was mostly expecting the concert. However, he took me to a pretty rooftop area in the Flat Iron district and knelt down on one knee. It was super darling!”

Frances’s ring is absolutely stunning. “I have a lovely oval engagement ring! Nicholas knew the kind of shape I wanted, but the ring itself was a total surprise. It exceeded my expectations. Nicholas was super cute and was saying that he thought it was so funny that his dad, brother, and himself were three grown men picking out a ring together.”

These two had an intimate Friday morning ceremony, followed by a brunch celebration at the stunning and historic Briarcliff Manor surrounded by their closest family and friends. The grounds of the manor were absolutely beautiful — even before any spring blooms had begun to grow — and I had so much fun taking portraits with these two around the property. Frances’s vision for the day was Pride and Prejudice inspired, and I think it was perfectly brought to life!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Espinoza!
