Brisk and windy November days aren’t for the faint of heart, especially on the waterfront — but Kristie and Matt were total troopers! Unfortunately the original date of their engagement session turned out to be quite rainy, but the day we rescheduled to offered us beautiful and clear sunny skies… just with a bit of wind to deal with! But these two did a great job working through the windswept hair and chilly fingers, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!
Like so many of my couples, Kristie and Matt are actually high school sweethearts! As Kristie tells it, “We’ve been together for what feel like forever! We’ve known each other since we were in high school and have pretty much dated ever since. Matt made the first move.” And it sure paid off! Kristie and Matt have the sweetest story, and it was such a joy to capture their engagement photos to celebrate their longstanding love. These two got engaged on a sailboat on Matt’s birthday this past August! Kristie’s ring is an emerald diamond, and it’s absolutely stunning. “I’ve always wanted an emerald and Matt surprised me with the perfect one. It was a complete surprise!”
Together these two live in Jersey City and are total foodies, and both love to travel and explore the world. I am so excited for their Perona Farms wedding next November, it’s going to be such a beautiful day!
