Weehawken Waterfront NJ Engagement | Morgan & Connor

Weehawken, New Jersey

I had so much fun working with Morgan and Connor! I actually went to high school with Morgan, so it was so wonderful to be able to capture such a special time in her life. And within moments of meeting Connor, I felt like I had known him for years!

This sweet couple had their first date on October 25, 2016 at Tenth and Willow in Hoboken after meeting on Bumble – which, if you don’t know, is how I met Matt so I am obviously a sucker for a modern day app romance.

Fast forward a few years… Morgan had gotten a promotion at work, so Connor suggested they go out for drinks at their favorite restaurant near their apartment to celebrate on Friday night. He also came home from work with flowers (which wasn’t a completely unusual thing for him to do!).

They had a few drinks to celebrate at Molos, and on their walk home Connor proposed in the park across the street from their apartment! Morgan was totally shocked, not at all expecting the proposal. But, of course, she said yes, and the rest is history!

When Morgan and I first started chatting about their session, she mentioned they would love to do a few photos inside Molos, since it has been such a constant in their relationship. She called ahead and asked the restaurant if they would mind if we did at few photos at the bar, and they were totally fine with it. Our shoot started as all shoots should – with a glass of Riesling! Although I didn’t partake (Riesling actually IS my favorite wine) it was so much fun being able to see Morgan and Connor in one of their favorite places.

For the second part of our session, we headed to the park outside of their apartment where Connor proposed to Morgan. I love when couples choose locations that have so much significance in their relationship, it truly makes it all the more meaningful to look back on.

From there we walked along the Weehawken waterfront, an area that I am actually not very familiar with despite living only a few miles away in Jersey City.

Working with Morgan and Connor was so fun and natural, and I am so excited for these two to tie the knot and start the next chapter in their lives together!
