Hoboken, New Jersey
I have probably said in the past that there were sessions that were “the coldest shoot I have ever done.” Well, this session successfully takes the cake! Olivia and Chris’s engagement session happened to fall on a VERY bitter, cold January day. But not even the cold could keep these two from helping me create some beautiful images to celebrate their engagement!
As Olivia tells it, “We met online when we were both living in Binghamton, New York. I ended up getting a job in Albany and Chris got a job in Jersey City, so we did long distance for 2 years. We now both live in New Jersey together thanks to the pandemic! We have been together for almost 4 years.”
Fast forward a few years down the road, and Chris pops the question one day on a walk near the beach close to where they currently live in South Amboy! Olivia, of course, said yes, and now they are planning their June 2022 wedding in Rochester, New York!
When Olivia and Chris were dating long distance and Olivia would come visit Jersey City, these two would always go for walks in Hoboken and frequent Olivia’s favorite restaurant (which is mine as well!), Grand Vin. Taking their engagement photos in Hoboken was all the more meaningful given all of the time they spent here together.
In their spare time, these two love cooking and trying new fun recipes, making cocktails, taking long walks, dancing in the kitchen, traveling, playing board games, and spending time with their families — and there will (hopefully!) be a fur-baby in their near future as well!
Despite the bitter cold, I had such a great time working with and getting to know Olivia and Chris. I could not be happier for them as they start this next chapter in their lives together!
