Alex and Tim’s engagement session was originally supposed to be a week earlier, but if you live in the northeast — specifically the New York City area — you will know that our neck of the woods was experiencing some of the worst air quality in the WORLD on that very same day. Thankfully, we were able to push Alex and Tim’s session to the following week and we were greeted with much more favorable conditions (no hazy orange smog is always a win in my book).
We ended up having the most beautiful spring night, and I enjoyed every moment with this sweet and hilarious couple in Hoboken! When they went to change in the bathroom at Sorellina, the amazing host actually unexpectedly brought them out champagne to celebrate their engagement, which was such a fun way to commemorate this special day.
These two have been together for over five years now! As Alex tells it, “Long story short, we went to college together but didn’t know one another. It wasn’t until several years later one of my friends who knew him mentioned he lived in Hoboken (so did I at the time) and that he was “looking good.” So on Saint Patrick’s day, after one too many Irish car bombs, I slide in his DMs on Instagram. He clearly loves this story more than I do but I am proud, and very happy I made the first move!”
I absolutely love Alex’s ring, although I may be a bit biased because it is so similar to my own! “I have a solitaire round diamond with a plain white gold band! It’s exactly what I wanted. We did go ring shopping several months prior to our engagement because I’m neurotic.” Aren’t we all, girl?!
Together Alex and Tim live in Belmar Beach and love traveling, going for walks, and riding bikes along the beach. I’m so excited for their wedding next July at the beautiful Fiddler’s Elbow in Bedminster, NJ!
