Some love stories take time to unfold, and Kendall and Mitchell’s is the perfect reminder that the best things in life are worth waiting for. These two first met in 2016 during their sophomore year at Marymount Manhattan College where they quickly became best friends. For years they shared everything from “friend dates” around the city, to working side by side at a children’s birthday party center, with Mitchell secretly harboring a crush the entire time. It wasn’t until 2020, after years of friendship, national tours, and FaceTime calls during quarantine, that their relationship blossomed into something more. Once they finally decided to take the leap, they knew instantly that forever was in the cards.
On a gorgeous August day, Kendall and Mitchell tied the knot at Liberty House in Jersey City. The morning began with the two of them getting ready separately at the Westin before heading to Liberty State Park for their emotional first look. With the Manhattan skyline as their backdrop, the moment was filled with both tears and laughter — the perfect preview of the joy to come.
Their ceremony took place outdoors under the warm summer sun, overlooking the city they’ve called home for more than a decade. As they exchanged vows, there wasn’t a dry eye among their family and friends. Kendall & Mitchell’s vision for their day was “city meets coastal” — inspired by a yacht club vibe with summery East Coast florals in shades of blue and white. From the lush hydrangeas to the elegant details, everything about the design reflected their chic New York style.
When it came time to celebrate, Liberty House set the stage for the most incredible party. With live music from Starlight Music, guests filled the dance floor and kept the energy high all night long. From heartfelt toasts to the sweetest surprise from the Cannoli Guy, every detail of the evening was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Kendall and Mitchell’s wedding day was nothing short of magical, and it was such an honor to capture this chapter of their story. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Matyas!
