New York, New York

Kim and Scott’s Central Park engagement session was nothing short of magical — complete with a rowboat ride that felt straight out of a movie. With Scott’s history as a rower in both high school and college, and Kim’s love of being on the water, it was the perfect way to celebrate their engagement in one of New York City’s most iconic locations.
Their story began in the most unexpected way — despite growing up just minutes apart in West Windsor Plainsboro, their paths didn’t cross until Thanksgiving Eve just two years ago. They met through mutual friends at the Alchemist & Barrister in Princeton, and sparks flew immediately (Kim even jokes that she tried to drag Scott into St. Paul’s Church that night — the very church where they’ll say their vows next summer). A first date in New York followed, and before long they were inseparable. Within months, Scott was spending more time at Kim’s apartment than his own, and soon after, they officially moved in together.
The proposal, fittingly, brought their story full circle back to Princeton. Just before Christmas, Scott got down on one knee in front of the glittering Palmer Square tree. Surrounded by twinkling lights and with both of their families there to celebrate afterwards, it was everything Kim had dreamed of — down to her timeless round solitaire ring, so reminiscent of her mother’s.
Now living together in Long Island City, they balance busy careers, time with their families, and their love of trying new experiences together (like cooking at home with Hello Fresh). For their engagement session, though, they slowed down and soaked up a perfect August evening in Central Park. Between romantic strolls beneath the trees and drifting across the water in a rowboat, Kim and Scott’s session was filled with laughter, joy, and a glimpse of the beautiful life they’re building together.
