Spring Lake, New Jersey
|
Kelly and Nick’s mid-September engagement session took us to two of the sweetest Jersey Shore spots — the charming paths of Divine Park and the breezy shoreline at Spring Lake Beach. Their session was full of laughter, love, and the kind of joy that comes from two people who are truly meant to be.
Their story began in the most unexpected place: an Italian deli in Nick’s hometown of Lyndhurst, NJ. Kelly had taken a day trip with her best friend, grabbed sandwiches, and posted about it on Instagram. Nick saw the story and slid into her DMs with the line, “Whatcha doing in my town?” Kelly, quick-witted as ever, replied, “Enjoying a damn sandwich in peace.” What started as a simple exchange quickly turned into so much more. For Kelly, who thought it might always just be her and her daughter, Nick’s kindness, patience, and steady heart showed her it was safe to let her guard down.
This past spring, Nick planned the perfect proposal with the help of Kelly’s daughter. The day before Easter, he brought them to Holland Ridge tulip farm on a gorgeous sunny afternoon. While her daughter pretended to snap a photo of the two of them, Nick dropped to one knee and asked Kelly to marry him. It was such a beautiful surprise, filled with color, love, and family — everything that means the most to them.
For their engagement session, the romantic bridges and willow trees of Divine Park, paired with the wide-open skies and sand of Spring Lake Beach, created a setting as heartfelt as their story. Together, Kelly and Nick love simple joys: martinis, family dinners on Sundays, early Saturday farmers market runs, and living each day in the moment. This session was the sweetest glimpse into the love and life they share.
