The most gorgeous spring day to celebrate sweet Aly and Nick at Bear Brook Valley! With so much rain in the forecast lately, it was such a relief to see clear, sunny skies the morning of their wedding. It was perfect setting for this sweet couple to finally make their union official.
Aly and Nick grew up less than a mile apart from each other, but didn’t cross paths until the summer of 2020! The pandemic unexpectedly led Aly to relocate from New York City back to the suburbs of New Jersey, where Nick lived and worked. As fate would have it, on Fourth of July weekend these two were introduced through a mutual friend over drinks at the Patio Bar down the shore, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Exactly two years later, Nick proposed to Aly alongside their close family and friends. As Aly tells it, “I NEVER get my nails done, so the days leading up to our engagement, my friend Morgan had this on-going narrative with me that she thought her boyfriend was about to propose that weekend and wanted me to come get my nails done with her just in case. For some reason, I totally bought that and didn’t think anything of it even though it was mine and Nick’s anniversary.”
“Nick and I got engaged in my parents’ backyard. He had a romantic set up in the backyard with both of our parents present. I never wear jewelry, so I was so flustered when I saw the ring and just said yes, took the box, and walked away with the ring. He was like, wait, I have to put it on your finger!” Speaking of the ring, Aly has a stunning three stone engagement ring and it’s exactly what she wanted. Nick kept Aly’s friend, Morgan, involved in the entire process — she knew exactly what Aly liked, and was able to get answers from her without seeming suspicious.
From start to finish, these two had an absolutely beautiful wedding day surrounded by their closest friends and family, and filled with so much love and laughter. Congratulations to Aly and Nick, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
