A Coastal Garden Party Wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow

Bedminster, New Jersey

|

Maggie and Eddie’s wedding day at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club was the perfect blend of English charm and coastal garden party style, filled with beautiful florals, playful patterns, and thoughtful details that felt completely personal to the two of them. Their story began nearly a decade ago during freshman orientation at Notre Dame — there was a spark from the very beginning, but throughout college the timing never quite worked out and the two remained friends. After graduation brought them both to New York City, everything finally fell into place and they started dating almost immediately.

Years later, Eddie planned a proposal centered around one of their favorite places in the city, Novita, a cozy Italian restaurant in Gramercy. What Maggie thought was going to be a double date turned out to be a private evening for just the two of them, followed by tiramisu and cocktails with their siblings and closest friends. They ended the night dancing at the same bar where they had shared their first drinks together in NYC, a perfect full-circle moment in their story.

When it came time to plan their wedding, Maggie and Eddie envisioned a garden party vibe with a strong focus on florals, color, and fun patterns. Both church and venue locations held special meaning to their families as well — Maggie attended Villa Walsh for high school, while her family has been members of Fiddler’s Elbow for many years.

In the days leading up to the wedding rain lingered in the forecast, but someone was certainly looking out for these two. Maggie spent the morning getting ready with her girls in the beautiful bridal suite at Fiddler’s Elbow before stepping into her stunning Sareh Nouri gown. Later at Villa Walsh Chapel, Eddie saw Maggie for the first time as she walked down the aisle, and his emotional reaction was easily one of the sweetest moments of the day. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the two officially became husband and wife in a ceremony rooted in both their faith and their history.

After the ceremony, everyone returned to Fiddler’s Elbow for the celebration. We felt a few raindrops along the way, but by the time we stepped outside for portraits the skies had cleared and stayed that way for the rest of the afternoon.

Maggie and Eddie’s vision came to life beautifully, where English charm met coastal garden party through layers of florals, pattern, texture, and color. From custom linens and a collection of personalized matchbooks, to rattan chargers and countless thoughtful details, every element felt intentional and completely true to the vision they had for their day.

More than anything, this wedding was filled with so much love, positivity, and joy from beginning to end. It was such a special celebration to witness and photograph, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. Congratulations to the Johnsons!
