Late March at the Ryland Inn has such a distinct feel with that early-spring light, a slight chill still in the air, and everything just beginning to shift. Samantha and Cameron’s wedding day carried that same energy, thoughtfully planned and centered around the people who matter most. It was a celebration that felt intimate, joyful, and full of life from beginning to end.
Their story began years ago on a dating app, when Samantha was newly single and Cameron was just starting the fire academy. They exchanged a few messages but never made it to a first date, eventually drifting apart. A few years later they reconnected on a different app, and when their conversations moved to text, Samantha realized their original messages were still there. Since their official first date in February 2021, they’ve been inseparable, building a relationship rooted in both adventure and the everyday moments they share.
That sense of intention carried into Cameron’s proposal in Bar Harbor, Maine. He planned a full day together, from blueberry pancakes and a scenic hike to drinks by the water and a walk along the shore path. Before dinner he suggested one last stop to watch the sunset, where he got down on one knee. A hidden photographer captured it all, giving them a meaningful way to remember the beginning of this next chapter.
Now living in Staten Island, their days are a balance of traveling and quiet nights at home — something that felt especially present throughout their wedding day. They chose Ryland Inn for its ability to reflect both sides of their vision, pairing a classic ceremony in the Grand Ballroom with a reception in the Coach House, where the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and effortlessly refined. Blush and ivory florals, candlelight, and the natural texture of the wood beams created a setting that was simple, romantic, and completely true to them. Samantha also carried a bouquet with a photo charm honoring her mother and grandmother, a meaningful detail woven into the day.
As the evening unfolded, the Coach House filled with energy. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the celebration quickly turned lively, with a packed dance floor, constant laughter, and a room that never seemed to slow down. It was a day that felt grounded in what matters most, genuine, joyful, and full of heart. Congratulations to Samantha and Cameron!
