Where to even begin with Stevie and Joe’s incredible New York City wedding?!
These two have been together for over ten years and first met in high school. As Stevie tells it, “We were definitely friends first, and Joe asked me to the junior prom which led to us dating — and we have been together ever since!” They got engaged this past July in Montauk on the beach (swooning!!!). “Montauk has been so special to me as my grandparents have a house there and I have been going there since I was a little girl. It is also special to us as a couple as he really got to know my family spending so much time there with us over many summers. Joe made the whole weekend so special proposing on the beach there and having all of our family there afterwards to celebrate.”
Stevie’s ring is SO stunning. “My ring is an elongated cushion cut diamond on a white gold pave band. The ring is exactly what I wanted, and Joe did an amazing job picking out my dream ring. We did not pick it out together, but last year my mom and I went to go try on diamonds for fun and I fell in love with the elongated cushion cut.”
Together these two live in Westchester, NY and are big foodies who love to try new restaurants in both the city and suburbs. Stevie and Joe both love to travel, and actually spent an entire semester in college studying abroad together. In the summer, they enjoy spending their weekends in Montauk with family and friends both on the beach and on the golf course. In the winter, they definitely spend more time staying in on the couch drinking wine and watching Netflix
When I asked Stevie about inspiration for their wedding day, she shared that they really wanted it to feel timeless and quintessential New York City. “We chose our venue because of its gorgeous views of the city and light and airy feel that the reception space gives. Tribeca is also one of our favorite neighborhoods in the city. Getting married at the iconic St. Patrick’s Cathedral is also special to us as Joe’s grandparents got married there.”
I would say this wedding day was everything Stevie and Joe had dreamed of and more. From getting ready in their individual suites at a trendy Tribeca hotel, to making their marriage official at the most famous church in the city, to dancing the night away with 360 degree views of the skyline, this celebration was nothing short of perfect.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Marren!
