A Traditional & Romantic Wedding at The English Manor

Ocean Township, New Jersey

What a beautiful day celebrating sweet Amanda and Kyle! These two had the wedding of their dreams at The English Manor, and I couldn’t be happier that the two of them are finally husband and wife! You can’t even tell from all of this gorgeous, glowy light that we dodged more than one rain shower — but the skies eventually cleared and gave this couple the perfect day they deserved.

Amanda and Kyle’s love story is one of my favorites, as it began in one of the most unlikely places. While many couples these days (myself included) find love on dating apps, these two met the old fashioned way: on Cinco de Mayo at Bar A in Belmar, NJ. They danced, had some drinks, and exchanged numbers — but Amanda deleted his number in the morning because she figured she would never hear from him again.

Two weeks later, she got an Instagram request and recognized Kyle immediately! She messaged him and said, “You found me!” They went on one date, and have been inseparable ever since. Fast forward to August 1, 2020 when Kyle officially popped the question in a sunflower field (Amanda’s favorite flower). She was totally in shock! Amanda, of course, said yes, and they began to plan their dream wedding.

Amanda’s bubbly personality and infectious laugh makes you feel like the two of you are best friends right away, and it was such a pleasure working with both her and Kyle throughout their wedding planning journey. Their engagement session in Spring Lake was so much fun, and it was surreal that the day of their wedding had finally arrived. While Amanda stepped into her gown at her mother’s house, Kyle buttoned his cufflinks and straightened his bowtie at his parents’ house a few towns away.

These two had a traditional church ceremony to make their union official at St. Rose Roman Catholic Church in Belmar, NJ, and the moment Kyle saw Amanda walking down the aisle it was clear he was filled with so much emotion. And then, just as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the skies opened! Thankfully, the rain didn’t last long as we were able to head to a gazebo by the shoreline to take some of their couple portraits.

Although the weather continued to surprise us throughout the day, we managed to stay relatively dry as we made our way to The English Manor to keep the celebration going. This venue was such a beautiful setting for family and wedding party photos, and we even got some gorgeous sunlight shining through the trees!

Sweet first dances and emotional speeches started the night off right, and from there it was time to dance! I know that this day was everything Amanda and Kyle had ever dreamed of, and it was such an honor to be able to capture every moment for them. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Norman!!!
