Kim and Joe are officially married! We had the most beautiful day to celebrate these two, and I feel so lucky to have been able to capture all of these special moments for such a wonderful couple.
In the days leading up to Kim and Joe’s wedding, the rain did… not… stop. Pretty much every single day all week was a total wash — but come Sunday, the rain clouds just seemed to fade away and there was nothing but beautiful sunlight to fill the skies.
When I arrived at Bear Brook Valley the morning of their wedding day, I was awestruck by how beautiful the property was. I explored the venue for a bit, taking the time to document the grounds and take note of areas for portraits. The girls were getting ready in the open and airy Silo Suite, while the guys were downstairs hanging in the Woodford Lounge. Kim looked absolutely stunning, and her Kitty Chen couture gown was to die for.
After emotional first looks with her bridesmaids, brother, and father, Kim and her dad headed to the church in a vintage Rolls Royce. It was my second time at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Morristown, NJ and it’s definitely one of my favorite churches to shoot at, as it’s stunning both inside and out. Joe’s soft, joy-filled smile as soon as he saw his wife-to-be walking down the aisle with her father was the sweetest moment, and together they made their vows in front of all of their friends and family. And just like that, they were husband and wife!
We all headed back to Bear Brook Valley, but not before a few gorgeous shots in front of the Rolls Royce, of course! The property at Bear Brook was absolutely beautiful for photos, and I had the best time working with their wedding party. There was just so much love for Kim and Joe, and it was so clearly evident on the faces of their family and friends.
I think one of my absolute favorite images from the day is a pulled back shot of Kim and Joe, walking back to the venue after their portraits — a serene moment, just the two of them, heading to their cocktail hour to greet their guests and soaking it all in.
Their reception was such a great time, and I had so much fun capturing all of the joyful moments of these two breaking it down on the dance floor with their friends. Congratulations again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Diffin, I couldn’t be happier for the two of you!
