Summer Evening Central Park NYC Engagement

New York, New York

|

After a few weather delays (thanks, New York City summer!), we were finally able to make this engagement session happen — and it couldn’t have been more worth the wait. On a warm afternoon in Central Park, I had the best time photographing Elizabeth and Joe (and their adorable pup, Tully!) in one of their favorite places in the city they call home.

These two first met on Bumble in October of 2022 and had their first date at a cozy wine bar on the Upper East Side. Timing wasn’t exactly ideal — Elizabeth had just returned from a six-week work trip and had only had Tully for a little over a week — but as fate would have it, everything fell into place perfectly. One date led to another, and by Christmas they’d met each other’s families. While Tully was a bit unsure about Joe at first, now the two are inseparable.

One of the most special parts of their story is how Joe proposed. Early in their relationship, Elizabeth brought Joe and Tully to Hacklebarney Cider Mill in New Jersey (a place her family has visited since she was young) for cider donuts and pumpkin picking. They went back again the next fall and made it a tradition. On their third visit, Joe completely surprised her with a proposal, a hidden photographer, and the most thoughtful celebration with their families that evening. It was truly one of the best days of their lives, and Elizabeth’s emerald cut ring with side trapezoids is just as stunning as the story behind it.

Now living together in NYC, these two love trying new restaurants, spending time with friends, taking long walks with Tully, and planning travel adventures together — they’re off to London and Paris soon! I’m already counting down the days until their wedding next June at Fiddler’s Elbow!
