New York, New York

Maggie and Eddie’s Central Park engagement session was the most beautiful way to celebrate their story, which began nearly a decade ago during freshman orientation at Notre Dame. The sparks were there from the very beginning, but timing kept them as friends throughout undergrad. After graduation, life brought them both to New York City, and this time the timing was perfect — they started dating almost right away.
Their proposal was as thoughtful as it was intimate. One of their favorite spots in the city is Novita, a cozy Italian restaurant in Gramercy. Eddie planned a double date there for the last weekend in May, but when they arrived, Maggie quickly realized it was so much more. Eddie had rented the private room and orchestrated an evening just for the two of them. After tears, celebratory wine, and a private dinner, the surprises continued as their siblings and close friends arrived for tiramisu and cocktails. They ended the night dancing at the very bar where they had their first drinks together in NYC, a perfect nod to their journey.
Now calling Gramercy and Seaport home, Maggie and Eddie love exploring new restaurants, cooking together, or simply enjoying time outdoors. They especially love relaxing walks along the west side and people (and dog!) watching in the park — something they hope to do with a pup of their own one day.
For their late August session, Central Park couldn’t have been a more fitting backdrop. The nature-filled setting reflected both their everyday lives in the city and their upcoming wedding day at Fiddler’s, which will also carry that timeless, scenic feel. Wandering through the park together, Maggie and Eddie’s warmth and connection made every moment easy and joyful, a beautiful preview of the celebration to come.
