Garden vibes all the way for Kristen and Dominic’s evening engagement session! These two first met back in 2018, and as Kristen tells it, “In college, Dominic worked at the front desk of a gym and I would come in with my friend a few times a week. Nothing transpired at that point other than flirty stares and some funny attempts at small talk. At the time, I thought he was way out of my league and was super shy! He then assumed I didn’t like him.”
“Fast forward to early 2020 right before COVID hit, I saw Dominic pop up on my social media and said why not see if he remembers me. I followed him and to my surprise, he DMed me right away. We soon realized we were trapped at home and had to text/FaceTime every night for three months until we finally could go out. Honestly it helped me get through quarantine being trapped at home. We were able to really get to know each other during that time so by the time we had our first date, it felt like we were best friends already!”
When Dominic popped the question, Kristen of course said yes! Her ring is absolutely beautiful. “I knew I wanted something timeless/classic and nothing too over the top. Dominic surprised me one day to go ring shopping and I picked out two styles I liked and he ultimately made the final choice! He did an amazing job and I know it’s a ring I will never get sick of.”
Together these two live in Shelton, CT but are in the process to moving down to Charleston, SC in early October! “We like to say we’re the same person, opposite genders. We pretty much have the same exact interests. We’re big foodies, always trying new restaurants/bars. We have a one year old golden retriever so we absolutely love taking him on adventures on the weekend. In the fall, we’re huge football fans. We’re very close with each other’s families so a lot of time on our weekends are spent with them playing board games, campfires, that sort of stuff. We take a lot of Sunday drives with no destination and love exploring new areas and trying new coffee shops. In the summer we absolutely love the beach (one reason we’re moving down to SC is to be literally 10 minutes away from the beach).”
I had the best time with Kristen and Dominic, and am so excited to document their special day next August at Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua, NY!
