A Floral-Filled Summer Wedding at The Ryland Inn

Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

|

As far as August days go, Jenna and Kyle truly got the most perfect one! The picturesque Ryland Inn provided the perfect backdrop for this summer wedding, seamlessly combining timeless elegance with modern romance. From opulent florals to (unexpectedly!) cool weather, and a sparkler-lit exit that marked the beginning of a new chapter, this wedding was nothing short of magical.

August in the northeast is known for its scorching temperatures and bright, sunny days. However, this particular wedding day had a surprise in store — an unseasonably cool breeze and next to no humdity! Guests welcomed the reprieve from the heat, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the outdoor festivities without the usual summer swelter. The weather lent an air of serenity to the day, making it even more memorable for the couple and their guests.

Jenna and Kyle prepared for their big day in separate houses at the Ryland Inn, each with its own unique charm. Jenna found herself in the modern Kimblewick House, and meanwhile Kyle readied himself in the adjacent Pelham House. As Jenna stepped into her gown with the assistance of her mother, Kyle’s parents helped him adjust his cufflinks and ease into his tux jacket. Jenna shared emotional first looks with both her father and her bridesmaids, and we kept the couple separate for photos before the ceremony as they wanted their first look to be down the aisle.

From there, it was off to the church! Jenna and Kyle’s ceremony took place at the historic Lamington Presbyterian Church, a beautiful building established in 1740. Steeped in tradition and rich with history, this church was the perfect setting for timeless love story. Surrounded by loved ones, the couple exchanged their vows and shared a kiss, finally making their union official.

The reception space at The Ryland Inn was completely transformed into a floral wonderland, truly straight out of a fairytale. Opulent blooms in various shades of white and blue adorned every corner, creating an atmosphere of beauty and enchantment. The scent of fresh blossoms mingled with the excitement in the air, setting the tone for a celebration filled with joy, love, and an unmistakable touch of luxury.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the newlyweds and their guests entered the breathtaking Grand Ballroom to keep the celebration going. This elegant space was the stage for an evening filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt speeches from the maids of honor, best men, and the couple’s parents. The opulent florals that had graced the reception space continued to weave their magic, creating an atmosphere of romance that enveloped everyone present.

It was an absolutely beautiful celebration from start to finish. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Morris, I couldn’t be happier to have been a part of your special day!
