Samantha and Cameron’s engagement session at Cross Estate Gardens was full of late summer charm, the perfect setting for a couple whose story is all about timing, serendipity, and love that was meant to be.
The two first connected years ago on a dating app. At the time, Samantha was newly single and Cameron was just beginning the fire academy. They exchanged a few texts but never went on a date, and eventually drifted apart. Fast forward a few years, and fate brought them back together on a different app. When their conversations moved to text, Samantha realized all of their old messages were still there — proof that sometimes life just has a funny way of circling back at exactly the right moment.
Since their official first date in February 2021, they’ve been inseparable. Their shared love of travel made their proposal destination especially meaningful. While visiting Bar Harbor, Maine, Cameron planned a day of exploring — blueberry pancakes, a scenic hike, drinks by the water, and a stroll along the shore path. Before heading to dinner, he suggested they watch the sunset from a nearby spot. Nervous but determined, he found the perfect moment to get down on one knee and ask Samantha to marry him. A hidden photographer captured it all, giving them the most stunning keepsakes of such a special moment.
Now living in Staten Island, these two love everything from traveling the world to cozy nights at home. They’re excited to be saving for their wedding and future home, and it’s clear that whatever they’re doing, they simply love being together.
For their engagement session, Cross Estate Gardens was a beautiful backdrop — lush gardens, winding stone paths, and golden light that reflected their easy laughter and undeniable connection. Samantha and Cameron’s story may have started twice, but there’s no question that this next chapter together is forever.
