New York, New York
I absolutely love when couples are down for a sunrise session, so when Colleen and Dylan agreed to an early morning in Central Park I couldn’t have been more excited! Is it an early wakeup call? Totally. But does it also give you basically private access to some of the most coveted engagement session spots in the city?! Sure does!
We ended up pushing their session back one day due to rain, yet on our separate ways to Central Park that morning it was steadily raining. I had faith it would let up, and sure enough the skies cleared and gave us not only soft, diffused light but also gorgeous glowy sun as the morning went on! Central Park was basically at its peak autumn beauty for this session, and I had the best time working with sweet Colleen and Dylan.
These two met at a gym in their town the summer of 2014 and have been together for 6 years now. They had both gone to the same high school, but Dylan was a few years older than Colleen.
As Colleen tells it, “We both knew of each other but never actually met, so I like to think it was love at first sight when we did meet! I actually made the first move — but to be fair he says he thought I had a boyfriend at the time because a couple of my guy friends would always be at the gym with me.”
Dylan proposed to Colleen on the beach during a trip to Ocean City, Maryland this past July! She was totally surprised — he planned an entire luxury styled picnic, and although he had to postpone it a few days due to the threat of hurricanes, the day he chose turned out to be absolutely beautiful. “I have a solitaire radiant cut ring! It’s perfect and exactly what I wanted. He picked it out on his own… with some help from instagram DMs I sent him.”
Together they love trying new restaurants, and are big winos! “So anything that involves food and wine sign us up!” They are also self-proclaimed homebodies, so they enjoy their downtime when they can get it!
I cannot wait for Colleen and Dylan’s November 2022 wedding at The Madison Hotel in Morristown, NJ! Congratulations to these two!
