Luxurious City Wedding at the Lotte New York Palace

New York, New York

|

Hannah and Doug had the most exquisite celebration to make their marriage official. From the iconic venue to the breathtaking views of the city, and every single moment in between, this wedding was absolutely one for the books.

Hannah and her bridesmaids got ready on the 48th floor The Towers at Lotte New York Palace. This luxurious and spacious suite offered panoramic views of the city below, and was the ideal setting for Hannah to prepare to marry the love of her life.

Inspired by all things classically New York, this couple’s wedding could have been straight out of a movie. Hannah’s strapless, lace Pronovias gown was stunning, and her intricate tulle veil (which had arrived just right in time the day before) added the perfect delicate touch to her look. Doug’s velvet tuxedo complemented his bride’s attire — and this was just the first of several outfit changes!

These two shared an intimate first look in the impressive Villard Mansion staircase. Doug was filled when emotion as he turned around to see Hannah for the first time and couldn’t stop admiring how incredible she looked, although he was hardly surprised!

We began shooting their couple’s portraits in Rarities, an exclusive lounge that effortlessly embodies old world New York elegance. From there, we headed to what I was most excited about — the 5,000 square foot Jewel Suite which leads to the penthouse rooftop. As a natural light photographer, as beautiful as the inside of the hotel is, I couldn’t wait to get outside! The rooftop did not disappoint, and we were greeted with beautiful sunlight and the softest, cool breeze that made Hannah’s veil fly without putting a hair out of place. This was one of the highlights of the day for me, truly nothing can beat this jaw-dropping view of the entire city.

After a few street shots capturing the true essence of New York — aka trying to hail a cab to no avail — we captured Hannah and Doug’s wedding party and family photos on the Grand Staircase before tucking them into hiding before they finally made their union official. These two had a beautiful ceremony, half in Korean and half in Chinese, and just like that they were husband and wife!

I am so happy to have been a part of such a magical day. Congratulations again to sweet Hannah and Doug, you two deserved nothing less than the incredibly wedding that you brought to life!
