I’ve been openly obsessed with Cait and Blake — and their sweet furbaby, Stella — since we first met at their engagement session last year, and their wedding day was no exception! The amount of times I shrieked because Cait looked so good… the limit does not exist. Anyway, I am so happy to have been able to be a part of this absolutely stunning day. I felt so welcomed by not only this wonderful couple but also their incredible friends and family!
These two first met in college, and as Cait tells it, “We were both part of the Ithaca College Track and Field team! We were friends forever, and then started dating his senior year. I made the first initial move but it kinda fizzled out… and then a year later, it was all Blake!”
Cait and Blake got engaged in one of Cait’s favorite places, Cape Cod. “Blake is a true romantic! On the other hand, I very type A, very nosy, and you can’t get a lot past me! Blake had been planning for close to 6 months, trying to get every detail right. Long story short, I grew up vacationing on Cape Cod and all my family lives in the area. It just so happens that my grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary was the same weekend, so everyone had disguised the celebration as that! Little did I know, I was setting up my own party (very smart on his end!). He proposed on the beach we go to in Cape Cod right down the street from my grandparents’ house. His entire family flew in and everyone was waiting for us back at my grandparent’s house for a huge surprise party!”
From start to finish, Cait and Blake truly had the most amazing celebration. We were spared of any rain, and although most of the day offered a light, cloudy haze it didn’t stop us from taking all of their portraits outside (despite the chill in the air). The Madison Hotel conservatory was the perfect setting for a romantic, candlelit ceremony and reception, and these two deserved nothing less than the very best.
Congratulations again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Weekly!
