The perfect spring day to celebrate Shannon and Victor! In the days leading up to their wedding, all eyes were on the forecast; rainclouds loomed in every weather app and umbrellas were packed just in case. But as fate would have it, April had a change of heart — clear skies graced Shannon and Victor’s special day, and not a single raindrop dared to interrupt their celebration.
These two first met in college! As Shannon tells it, “We met in the summer going into senior year of college when my roommate took me along to her friend’s party. Victor was a gentleman and stuck by my side all night long, but I played very, very hard to get. I eventually fell head over heels after realizing he was the most amazing, selfless guy. We’ve been through long distance and have now been dating six years!”
Victor officially popped the question in August of 2023 in Paris, and I truly can’t imagine a more romantic setting to get engaged. Shannon, of course, said yes and absolutely loves her ring. “I have a solitaire radiant cut ring! We went to one store together one random night to try on styles, and afterwards he took the lead all on his own. He proposed within a month and I was very shocked to say the least!”
Shannon and Victor’s ceremony took place at the historic St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Hoboken, and after their heartfelt “I dos” we made our way to Liberty State Park for portraits. With the Manhattan skyline and iconic Communipaw Terminal as their backdrop, it was truly a picture-perfect setting.
Maritime Parc, with its stunning views of both the marina and New York City, brought a unique and modern elegance to the evening. The floral arrangements were a springtime dream — soft ivories, lush greenery, and delicate blossoms that added a romantic touch to every table and corner of the room. These two danced the night away alongside their closest family and friends, and I almost didn’t want to leave because the real party was just getting started when my coverage was ending!
Shannon and Victor’s wedding day was a perfect blend of classic romance, modern style, and heartfelt celebration. I couldn’t be happier for these two, congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Candeloro!
