Intimate Oyster Bay Long Island Wedding

Caroline and Jared’s wedding was an absolutely magical day! Although they postponed their full wedding until 2021, these two still wanted to tie the knot on their original date with their closest family and friends. I was so excited to be a part of this special day, and had such a great time getting to know this sweet couple across the day!

I think one of my favorite things about Caroline and Jared (besides how incredibly sweet and welcoming they are) is their “how they met” story.

As Caroline tells it, “We met in the 4th grade, our moms became fast friends and Jared would come home with me on the bus until his mom could come pick him up. My family moved when I was entering 6th grade so we lost touch, until our families reconnected when we ended up at the same college (Villanova).”

“We both dated other people through college, but after college our families became closer than ever. We were firmly in the “family friend” zone until Jared invited me and a few of my friends on a New Year ski trip in December 2017. We had our first kiss at midnight on NYE and the rest is history! We kept it a secret from our families for a few months, but that didn’t last too long and we broke the news to them that March – they were beyond happy!”

A few years later, Jared popped the question!

“Jared proposed at sunrise at the Montauk lighthouse. Then our families surprised us, and the following day a bunch of our friends showed up! Montauk has always been our happy place where we go to relax and escape from our busy lives. Now it’s really our place forever!”

And the rest is history! Caroline and Jared’s wedding day was full of SO much joy and love, and I couldn’t be happier to have captured these special moments for this sweet couple and their families.

Cheers to the Godsells!
