Another incredible Park Chateau celebration this summer! It was nothing but sunny skies for Danielle and Chris, and it truly couldn’t have been a more perfect wedding day.
These two actually grew up in the same town, and had numerous connections in common! Not only did Chris play lacrosse with Danielle’s brother, Chris’s sister was Danielle’s high school lacrosse coach AND Chris shares a common best friend with Danielle’s brother. As Danielle tells it, “Though we never “met” back then, unknowingly to Chris I had a crush on him in high school — so who knows, maybe it was a one-sided love at first sight. Fast forward to after college and entering the workforce, we were fortunate to connect during the pandemic (of all times) and forged a relationship built on nights in, since going out was not an option.”
Fast forward again to February of 2023, when Chris popped the question! “I was completely surprised by the proposal because it happened two days before we went on a mini staycation in Stone Harbor, NJ where I was convinced it was going to happen. He coordinated with one of my friends to take me to lunch and then stop by Ramapo Reservation to take some pictures (which is completely normal for me so no red flags there) but to my surprise, he was standing there in a suit jacket holding a dozen roses waiting to pop the question.” Danielle’s ring is an oval cut diamond with a pave band. Chris (being the smart man he is) included Danielle in the ring selection process to make sure it was the perfect ring for her! She absolutely loves it, and thinks it was even more special to be a part of the process.
Together these two love to try new restaurants, plan date nights, make homemade pizzas, hang out at the beach, and root for the Eagles during football season.
When I asked Danielle what inspired the vision for her wedding, she told me, “We wanted our wedding to be classic, timeless and elegant. I really love British and English aesthetics but also wanted to keep it light and bright for the summer. I think the antique gold with light blue helps balance that along with our candelabra centerpieces and the venue feeling like a castle overall definitely rounds our the vibe I was going for. Our venue is breathtaking which made it an easy top choice to get married there.”
Danielle and Chris’s wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish, congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Bascelli!
