As one of my favorite venues in New Jersey, Natirar truly never disappoints — and I knew Katie and Carlos’s special day here would be no exception. From the first time I chatted with these two it was evident that they had an incredible vision for their wedding day, and it was beautifully brought to life by their wonderful planner, Ani Wolff.
Katie and Carlos first met at work back in 2015 when they were both working at Bloomberg in Princeton. Katie technically made the first move by asking Carlos to take a shot with her at a house party (at his own house!) in Princeton, and the rest, as they say, is history. From that moment, Carlos knew Katie was the one for him and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Carlos popped the question in October of 2022 in upstate New York near the Finger Lakes (where Katie is originally from), and on her birthday nonetheless! She was so surprised, and of course said yes. Katie absolutely loves her ring. As she told me, “It’s STUNNING! It’s from Ring Concierge. It’s a radiant! We picked it out together but I didn’t know if Carlos would go with this exact one.” Thankfully he did, and it looks absolutely perfect on Katie’s hand. Together these two live in Brooklyn and love making or going out to dinner, spending time with family (including their two adorable nieces) and friends, watching the Buffalo Bills, and going on long walks together.
These two were blessed with a truly beautiful day for their wedding. Natirar has one of the most breathtaking ceremony views I’ve ever seen, so having fantastic weather (as with most weddings) is always the goal. Thankfully we were able to take advantage of all of the venue’s stunning outdoor spaces, including the beautiful garden area at Ninety Acres.
Katie’s exquisite Pnina Tornai gown — a mermaid silhouette with beaded dimensional flower lace and a chantilly lace underlayer — was customized to perfection and she looked truly incredible. Carlos looked absolutely dapper in his classic black tux, and both changed outfits for the afterparty (which I was sadly not there to witness, but did see later that night on Instagram!). Guests were able to enjoy the sweeping views of Natirar Park and then dance the night away to the sounds of the talented Cafe Wha Entertainment. From start to finish every detail was curated to perfection, and I am so happy I was able to be a part of such a beautiful celebration.
