The best day celebrating Alyssa and Andrew! Although thunder rumbled in the distance for almost the entire day, we thankfully didn’t get any rain until cocktail hour — and totally missed a huge storm that raged outside during the reception! Otherwise, their day was truly incredible and full of so much palpable love and emotion.
Alyssa and Andrew first met through through Hinge in 2018 (online dating success stories forever)! As Alyssa tells it, “Andrew made the first move by responding to the “two truths and a lie” question on my profile. After talking for a few days, we decided to meet up. We met at a coffee shop in his hometown and hung out chatting for a couple hours. We ended up going to Calandra’s Bakery and chatted there until they closed. By the time I got home that night, we already set up our second date. I think we both knew from the first day that our connection was special.”
Fast-forward a few years, and Andrew popped the question! “We were dating for a little over three years. I love going to wineries/cideries/breweries and there is a really pretty winery out in Pennsylvania that I’ve gone to with my family several times — Blue Ridge Estate. My mom “invited” us to do a winery trip the first weekend in November before it got too cold. My entire family was there. He proposed pretty much right when we got there because he wanted to do it before his family got there so I wouldn’t be suspicious (I obviously didn’t know his family was going to be there). It was a beautiful day at one of my favorite places!”
Alyssa’s ring is absolutely stunning. “It is exactly what I wanted! It is a round diamond with diamonds on the band. We went together to get ideas and I sent him pictures of what I wanted.” Together these two live in Morristown, NJ and love going on adventures with their (ADORABLE) dogs, trying new restaurants, and discovering new breweries and wineries to frequent.
Perona Farms was an easy decision for Alyssa and Andrew! “I grew up in Sparta, so I have always known about Perona Farms. When I saw the updated Refinery room, I knew it was exactly the vibe we were looking for. We love the modern, rustic industrial vibe. We are not traditional ballroom people but didn’t want something completely barn-like so this was the perfect in-between.”
I’m so happy that Alyssa and Andrew chose me to document their special day, congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Yudd!
