Middletown, Rhode Island

Krystin and Colin first reached out to me about doing an engagement session in Newport, RI last September! I was so excited to hear from them — not only did we all go to the same college, but they also have the absolute sweetest Samoyed named Niko, and I knew he would be making an appearance. Kidding (kind of). All jokes aside, I was super excited to work with Krystin and Colin, but when COVID-19 hit in March we prepared for the possibility that our mid-May session would need to be postponed.
Luckily, we were able to reschedule towards the end of July — and boy am I glad we did! These troupers didn’t even flinch when I asked if they would be open to a 5:30AM start time so we could shoot at sunrise. In fact, Krystin assured me she would pump Colin full of caffeine and we’d be good to go. Plus, dogs are allowed on the beaches in Middletown before 7AM, so we would be able to have Niko join the fun as well.
Krystin and Colin are tying the knot in Newport at the Newport Beach House on September 18th, 2021. They also got engaged in Newport in 2019 — hence why Newport holds such a special place in their hearts. (But dogs aren’t allowed on Newport beaches, so Middletown was close enough!)
I’m so happy I was able to capture these sweet photos of Krystin and Colin so that they will always have such beautiful memories of their engagement.
