Diana and Sean are two of the sweetest people we’ve had the honor of capturing, and their wedding day was nothing short of beautiful. On a warm November afternoon they said “I do,” and every element of the day reflected their vision of a classic, grand celebration with fun and laughter from start to finish.
Diana got ready in the stunning bridal suite at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury, while Sean and his groomsmen prepared at a nearby hotel. The elegance of the day began with the ceremony at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Rumson, where the officiant was someone especially meaningful to Diana—a priest who has known her since she was seven years old. The stately architecture and timeless ambiance of the church felt like a perfect match for these two.
After exchanging vows (and a brief guest appearance by their beloved family dog Leo), the newly-weds departed in a classic Rolls Royce and returned to the venue for their reception. Despite the earlier sunset in November, we were able to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor grounds for couple portraits, then moved inside to the ornate and elegant interiors of Shadowbrook for family and wedding-party photos. The venue’s grandeur created a striking backdrop to the heartfelt moments.
The evening unfolded with moving speeches, joyful toasts and a dance floor filled with energy and celebration. Diana shared that her venue choice was based not only on the breathtaking setting but also the food — she’s quite the foodie, and she wanted everyone to share in a meal that felt as thoughtful as the day itself. Her top priority in photography was capturing her and Sean “having a blast,” and I couldn’t agree more — it’s the images of pure joy and laughter that tell the story of their day.
