It is always such an honor when a fellow photographer books you for their wedding, especially one as talented as Jessica! Jess has been working with me as a second shooter for the past year, and she brings such an amazing energy to the weddings we shoot together — not to mention her work is absolutely beautiful. When Jess got engaged and reached out to me about her wedding and engagement photos, I couldn’t have been more excited! It’s sometimes nerve-wracking working with another photographer because you SO badly want to deliver them an incredible gallery, but lucky for me Jess and Jared made that so easy. These two were naturals in front of the camera, and we had the best time running around Spring Lake!
Jess and Jared and I have been together for 3 and a half years now! As Jess tells it, “We grew up only a town apart and had mutual friends, but didn’t end up meeting each other until 2018! He was a server at a restaurant near us, Bonefish Grill! One of my good friends wanted to go out to dinner one night so we went there the two of us. She was close with the manager, Melanie, who worked at bonefish. After finding out I was single, Melanie wanted to introduce me to a server and brought over Jared! When he got to the table Melanie awkwardly said she’s trying to find him a wife… and here we are! I later found out Jared saw me walk into Bonefish and wanted to talk to me before even knowing Melanie’s plan. It’s crazy to think I almost didn’t say yes to going out to dinner that night, and Jared almost called out of work that day! It was all meant to be and it’s been amazing ever since!”
Jess’s ring is absolutely stunning! “My ring is a round diamond with a halo around it and diamonds going down the side. Jared doesn’t have the best track record of getting me jewelry I have liked in the past, so when it came to my engagement ring, I knew it was something I wanted to go shopping for together!”
Together these two live in Manalapan, NJ and in their spare time love going to the beach, eating at new restaurants, watching Jared’s hockey team play, and binging Netflix! I couldn’t be more excited to capture their wedding day in September 2024 at The Mansion on Main Street!
