Intimate Garden Wedding at Barley Sheaf Farm

It is truly the greatest honor when another photographer asks you to capture their special day. I have been friends with Bianca for a while now, but when she asked if I would be available to document her intimate wedding in the states before their destination celebration in Santorini a few weeks later, I was absolutely blown away — and immediately said yes! I knew that, as a fellow photographer, Bianca would create an absolutely picture perfect day and I was elated to be the one to capture it.

The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm was the perfect setting for Bianca and Tim’s intimate ceremony. Nestled in Bucks County, PA, this quaint and historic venue offered countless settings for portraits, the perfect landscape for a ceremony, and a gorgeous al fresco dining space. Bianca’s vendor team did an outstanding job bringing her special day to life, with no shortage of stunning florals and thoughtful details to make Bianca and Tim’s day their own.

It comes as no surprise that both Bianca and Tim are naturals in front of the camera — Bianca understands what looks best from a photographer’s perspective, and Tim is VERY well trained. Bianca stepped into her gown in the uniquely named “The Man Who Came to Dinner” suite, a beautiful space full of antique French furniture and drenched in gorgeous natural light. Meanwhile, Tim readied himself in Stone Bank barn, prepping his details before seeing his bride-to-be.

These two shared a private first look on the long, tree-lined gravel drive under a canopy of lush greenery. It was such a special moment, and so fun to get Bianca on the other side of the camera for once! Like I said, these two were naturals — I feel like I barely had to direct them for their portraits! We made out way around the property, finding the most beautiful light and taking full advantage of the stately, historic space.

Ever the photographer, Bianca’s first thought for their ceremony space was, “Where is the best light?” Because there was so much direct sunlight, she had the team flip where the ceremony would be so that it would be beautifully backlit — not only making my job much easier but also providing a more comfortable setting for the couple and their guests. Bianca’s mother and father walked her down the aisle to her groom, and Bianca’s sweet friend, Rella, officiated the ceremony and at last made their union official!

An enormous congratulations to Bianca and Tim! It was truly an honor that they trusted me to capture this special day for them, and couldn’t be more excited for them to keep the celebration going at their wedding part two in Santorini!
