Iconic New York City Wedding at Tribeca Rooftop

New York, New York

Tori and Nate are one of those couples who make you believe in serendipity — and yes, the dating app success stories! They first met on Bumble in early 2019, back when admitting to online dating still came with a little hesitation. As Tori tells it, Nathan was not only her first Bumble date but also her last. After meeting for coffee at La Colombe in Bryant Park, she texted her mom to (jokingly) start planning the wedding. Guess it wasn’t quite a joke!

At the time, Tori had just moved to NYC to start law school and Nate had relocated to Brooklyn to finish medical school. Despite some time spent long-distance while Nate was in Toronto, their relationship only grew stronger. They officially started dating later that year, moved in together during the pandemic, and added the sweetest Pomsky puppy, Mikey, to their lives.

In October of 2023 on their four-year anniversary, Nate proposed at his lake house in Ontario. While Tori admits she saw it coming (Nate, apparently, isn’t the best at hiding surprises!), he still managed to completely surprise her by flying in her parents and sister to celebrate. The rain held off just long enough for the proposal, and the night was full of warmth, laughter, and love — a perfect reflection of the life they’ve built together.

Fast forward to their wedding day, and every detail felt just as thoughtful and intentional.

Tori and Nate got ready at the iconic Roxy Hotel, and shared an emotional first look on the penthouse terrace. From there, we boarded a double decker bus — yes, like literally the classic tourist buses! — with their wedding party and close family for portraits around Tribeca before heading to the venue. It was such a fun and unique way to kick off the day.

Their ceremony took place at the top of Tribeca Rooftop, with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline as their backdrop. The entire day was full of joy, laughter, and so much meaning. Every element was planned with care from surprise handwritten notes for every guest, to a quilt guestbook and Playbill-inspired programs, to European Jordan almond favors as a nod to tradition. Tori even wore a bow during the afterparty repurposed from the headpiece her mom wore on her wedding day, and her getting ready robe was made from the train of her mom’s gown.

The day was a true reflection of Tori and Nate’s love story — warm, intentional, joyful, and deeply personal. It was a celebration not just of their relationship, but of the people and places that helped shape it. I’m so honored to have captured this incredibly special day, congratulations again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Starkman!
