Hoboken, New Jersey

For Deirdre and Brian’s engagement session we kept things local and meaningful, starting in the quiet greenery of Columbus Park before strolling through uptown Hoboken. From splitting the G at Finnegan’s to catching golden hour by the waterfront, their session was the perfect mix of laid-back, personal, and romantic.
Deirdre and Brian’s story began during their sophomore year of college when a mutual friend introduced them just before Deirdre left for a semester abroad in Australia. Despite the long distance and time difference, they talked every single day while she was away — and when she got home six months later, Brian asked her out. Almost six years later, these two are planning their wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow next August!
Brian proposed in September 2024 during a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine. They spent the week hiking and exploring Acadia, and Brian popped the question at the top of Beech Mountain. It was the perfect moment, and Deirdre’s ring — a stunning elongated princess cut with side baguettes — was just as perfect. Though she had shared a bit of her style, Brian completely took the reins with the design and pulled off the most beautiful surprise.
These two currently live in Hoboken and have loved calling it home for the past two years. When they’re not enjoying time in the square mile city, they spend weekends upstate on Brian’s family farm or relaxing at the Jersey Shore. Brian’s a big hockey and farming guy, while Deirdre loves to crochet and bake (especially sourdough!). Together, they’re the kind of couple that makes you feel right at home — easygoing, full of laughter, and so sweet with each other.
Deirdre and Brian, I absolutely loved spending this beautiful evening with you two and can’t wait for your big day next year!
