A Black & White City Wedding at Tribeca Rooftop

New York, New York

Some love stories begin with a chance encounter, but Gabriella and Jack’s started in the hallways of high school. They began dating in January of 2016, when Gabby, a senior, decided she wasn’t going to let the fact that Jack was a sophomore stand in the way of what she knew could be something special. Nearly ten years later, their relationship has been shaped by countless milestones, new adventures, and a deep friendship that has only grown stronger with time.

Their wedding day was the perfect reflection of that love story. On a beautiful August day, Gabby and Jack got ready separately at The Smyth Hotel in Tribeca, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Gabby slipped into her breathtaking Sareh Nouri gown with the help of her mother and sister before sharing emotional first looks with both her bridesmaids and her father. Every moment felt filled with excitement, but nothing compared to seeing Jack’s reaction when he turned around for their first look. Overcome with emotion, he embraced Gabby as the two shared a few quiet moments together before the celebration began.

From there, we explored some of Tribeca’s most iconic locations for portraits, including the famous Staple Street Skybridge and the neighborhood’s charming cobblestone streets. The timeless architecture and classic New York backdrop couldn’t have suited them more.

One of the most memorable moments of the day came just before the ceremony when Gabby and Jack stepped into their ceremony space for the first time. Looking out over the sweeping Manhattan skyline, they took in the incredible setting where they would soon exchange their vows. With panoramic city views surrounding them and the warm August sun shining overhead, it was a ceremony that felt quintessentially New York.

The celebration continued inside Tribeca Rooftop, where timeless elegance met classic city style. Soft white florals filled the room, intricate drapery framed the space, and a black and white checkered dance floor invited guests to celebrate all evening long. Every detail felt refined, sophisticated, and effortlessly beautiful.

Gabby and Jack’s wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, timeless design, and iconic New York City charm. It was such an honor to capture this incredible day and celebrate two people whose kindness and love for one another shine through in every moment. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Swenson!
