We shipped up to Boston for Courtney and Ryan’s engagement session, and of course it happened to be one of the coldest weekends of the year so far! Thankfully it was 40° the Friday that we were shooting, because the next day was about 10° — and the following weekend was even colder!
Courtney and Ryan powered through the cold and did an amazing job in front of the camera despite the less than enjoyable weather. Their sweet pup, Oakley, even came along for a few photos, and he’s basically qualified to be a Purina model at this point.
These two first met over 10 years ago! As Courtney tells it, “We met when I was in college in 2010; we were friends for a while when Ryan joined the US Marine Corps in 2011. He came home a few times and tried to persuade me to go on a date with him. I finally gave in, and we decided to start a long distance relationship on November 11th, 2012! We have been in love ever since, almost 10 years later!”
Courtney’s ring is a princess cut diamond with small diamonds around the band. “I love it! Ryan picked out the ring all on his own without any help!”
Courtney and Ryan recently sold their first house, and are now are building their dream home down the street in the same town! Together they love to spend time with Oakley, exploring different areas around town, and traveling.
I am SO excited for Courtney and Ryan’s wedding this December in… wait for it… Aruba! I absolutely can’t wait to photograph these two in MUCH warmer conditions — it is going to be the most beautiful day!
