Winter Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement

Brooklyn, New York

|

January sessions definitely aren’t for the faint of heart, but Katie and Matt totally killed it in the cold!

These two first connected on Bumble (just like me and my own Matt ) — and funny enough they’re both originally from California, and even had some mutual friends, but didn’t meet until they were both living in NYC. They’ve been together for over 4 years now!

Although Katie knew the proposal was coming, she was so shocked in the moment! Matt proposed outside of Gramercy Park.

As Katie tells it, “We’ve always thought of that park to be our spot, because Matt lived around the corner from there when we met and we used to spend a lot of time in that neighborhood. After he proposed we went to the bar where we first met which is just down the street. We hadn’t been there since. Then we went to dinner at an amazing 16 course sushi restaurant!”

Katie’s ring is a beautiful yellow gold band with 6 diamonds. “It’s exactly what I wanted. I don’t ever wear jewelry, so it was important to me to pick it out to be sure it was something I was comfortable with.”

Together these two love to go to the movies, see Broadway shows, go out to dinner, bake, and take their adorable pup, Harry, for walks in Prospect Park.

Congratulations to sweet Katie and Matt on their engagement!
