Autumn Central Park Sunset Engagement

New York, New York

|

What an absolutely beautiful fall day with Frances and Nicholas in Central Park! It turned out to be one of the warmest November days I can remember, and the park was bustling — but we still managed to get some beautiful shots sans-tourists!

Frances and Nicholas have been dating for a year and recently got engaged this past September! As Frances tells it, “We met through a mutual friend January of 2019. We were both too shy to actually speak to one another, but there was definitely something there. It was definitely love at first sight, but we were younger and had other goals to achieve. We reconnected in 2021, but before that we often though about each other and our encounters. We ALWAYS bumped into each other. We became friends in 2021 and look back to our encounters with fondness. Our story is a representation of what’s meant to be is meant to be. All odds might’ve been against us, but we found each other.”

When it comes to Nicholas’s proposal, Frances had an idea it was coming! “He told me to wear THE OUTFIT and get my nails done that week. We had plans to go see a band we really liked in NYC, so I was mostly expecting the concert. However, he took me to a pretty rooftop area in the Flat Iron district and knelt down on one knee. It was super darling!”

Frances’s ring is absolutely stunning. “I have a lovely oval engagement ring! Nicholas knew the kind of shape I wanted, but the ring itself was a total surprise. It exceeded my expectations. Nicholas was super cute and was saying that he thought it was so funny that his dad, brother, and himself were three grown men picking out a ring together.”

Shooting in the city was super meaningful to Frances and Nicholas as they had their first date in Manhattan. I had the best time with these two soaking up the last of the stunning fall foliage, and am so excited to capture their intimate wedding next March at Briarcliff Manor!
