What a beautiful autumn morning with Carrie and Joe in Central Park! Right after sunrise is my favorite time to shoot in the city, and although my body hates the 5am wakeup, my heart adores the gorgeous photos we are able to capture with so many less tourists to dodge.
Carrie and Joe first met in the fall of 2017, when Joe was in his last year of medical school at Oxford and Carrie was beginning her one year master’s program. As Carrie tells it, “We were in the same college (kind of like houses in Harry Potter) and met at one of the college socials. After exchanging medical stories, we quickly became friends. Over the course of several months of hanging out, we finally took the leap and began dating. Joe started his job in Manchester while I moved to London. A few years later Joe and I made our move to New York together!” Joe popped the question last November! “We were walking home together after work through Central Park. In the midst of our walk, Joe, still in his scrubs, proposed!”
Carrie has an absolutely stunning sapphire ring. “We picked it out together. I have always wanted a sapphire ring due to my particular love for blue and because it’s my birth stone.”
Together these two live in Manhattan, and in their spare time love to wander aimlessly exploring cities and visiting museums. They are making their marriage official next May in France, and I have no doubt it will be an absolutely incredible celebration. Congratulations, Carrie and Joe!
