An absolutely perfect night in the city with Lauren and Chris! After what seemed like weeks of rain, at last the skies cleared and offered the most beautiful weather of the year for this evening session in Central Park. Despite some crazy traffic due to the president being in town, we all made it in one piece and had such a great time exploring the park.
Lauren and Chris first met at a Christmas party in 2017. As Lauren tells it, “Chris made the first move and we went on our first date at the end of January 2018. It’s been amazing ever since! We have been together for over five years now and counting.” Although when they first met Chris was living in Stamford and Lauren was in Hoboken, eventually they made their way to Astoria together where they still live now.
Chris officially popped the question this past fall! “We had planned to hang out with some friends in Hoboken to watch some football on a Sunday afternoon in October. Before meeting up with our friends, Chris and I had also planned to go out to brunch together to celebrate some recent wins at work. After brunch, we walked along the pier in Hoboken. Then, he got down on one knee at the stop where we had our first kiss. I said YES, of course! I was so surprised and happy! The second surprise was meeting our family and friends after to celebrate (and didn’t watch any football).”
Lauren’s ring is a beautiful white gold oval pave ring. “It was a total surprise and I love it!”
Together these two enjoy exploring the city, meeting up with friends, trying a new restaurant for Friday date night, finding a new cocktail bar with live music on a Saturday night, or just relaxing on a Sunday at their local coffee shop. I am so happy I was able to document these sweet memories for them, congratulations Lauren and Chris!
