The perfect summer evening for a garden engagement session! I had the best time with Lily and Kyle at Cross Estate Gardens — they came all the way down from the Hudson Valley, but hopefully the lush and vibrant setting made the drive worthwhile.
These two met when they were just 17, paired up as a groomsman and a bridesmaid in Lily’s older cousin’s wedding! As Lily tells it, “Shortly after the wedding we began talking, and before I knew it, we were dating! Now, nearly eight years later, we are planning our own wedding! It is a full circle moment and we could not be more excited to get married!”
Kyle popped the question on a private sailboat in Mykonos, Greece — can you imagine anything more romantic?! “It was the most amazing moment of our lives! He spent six months planning every detail, even making sure there were flowers (including lilies, of course) on the boat. We were in Greece with my family, and they were waiting at the dock to celebrate with us afterward. It was truly one of the best nights yet!” Lily’s ring is absolutely stunning, and although she gave Kyle some direction about what she liked, he did an incredible job with the end result.
Together Lily and Kyle love watching TV and movies, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with their families. In the summer they’re all about beach days, and they can’t wait to travel to new places as they continue making memories together. I am so excited for their wedding next August at Bear Brook Valley, it’s going to be the best day!
