A romantically rainy, oceanfront wedding day for Courtney and Jordan! Newport Beach House has been a venue on my bucket list for so long, so when Courtney first reached out about her wedding I was so excited. Courtney is close friends with one of my college friends, Delaney, whose wedding I also photographed and first met Courtney as a bridesmaid. The next time I saw her was back up in Rhode Island for her engagement session when I met Jordan for the first time, and had the best evening with the two of them on the beach.
Courtney and Jordan met each other two years ago out at a bar and it’s seriously one of my favorite how-they-met stories. As Courtney tells it, “I saw Jordan from across the bar and asked the bartender what his name was! Then he added me on Instagram. We have only been dating since September of 2022, but after about our third date we both knew!” I absolutely love how Courtney saw what she wanted, and she got it — and when ya know, ya know!
Jordan totally took Courtney by surprise when he asked her to marry him in July of 2023. They had been out with Jordan’s family celebrating his dad’s birthday in Boston, but once his family left Jordan popped the question — and Courtney, of course, said yes! Courtney’s engagement ring is absolutely stunning, a cushion diamond with a thin, gold band. “My ring is exactly what I wanted! We went and looked at rings together, but he exceeded my expectations. I only told him what shape I wanted, and he did the rest.” Together these two live in Tewksbury, Massachusetts and love trying new restaurants together and taking their sweet pup, Maverick, out on walks and hikes.
When I asked Courtney what inspired their choice in venue, she told me, “I always wanted to get married on the beach! When I looked at this venue, it was a very easy choice. I was in love right when I walked in.” Newport Beach House was the perfect setting for these two to make their marriage official — with its unbeatable beachfront views and gorgeous natural light, it truly is a coastal gem. Watching the weather leading up to Courtney and Jordan’s wedding, it looked like there was the threat of rain in the forecast. Although we dodged some showers throughout the day, thankfully these two were able to get the outdoor ceremony they had always dreamed of.
I couldn’t be happier for these two, congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Crow!
