A Classic Summer Wedding at The Ryland Inn Coach House

Chelsea and Matt are married — again!

It was such an honor capturing not just one, but two of their wedding celebrations (see last year’s Hoboken waterfront elopement here). Their full wedding at the Ryland Inn this September was absolutely perfect — and after more postponements than I can honestly remember, these two deserved nothing less.

Chelsea and Matt first met at Smugglers Notch in Vermont in 2004. After seeing each other on and off for a few years they finally began dating in 2008, and the rest is history!

A few years passed and when Matt popped the question, Chelsea couldn’t have been happier. Matt proposed at Antique Loft in Hoboken on January 24th, 2019. He told Chelsea it had opened up for dinner reservations and asked her to meet him there for dinner. When she got there, she found Matt — alone, in an empty restaurant. He had made a heart of rose petals and there was a sign of lights behind him that said “Marry Me.” After he got down on one knee to propose, both of their families came out from behind the wall to surprise her.

They had originally planned to get married in May of 2020 but we know how that story goes already. They postponed several times throughout 2020, and when they realized they may not be able to have their big wedding at all that year, they decided to get married alongside their immediate family (and me!) on the Hoboken waterfront near their apartment on their 12 year dating anniversary. The intimate ceremony was beautiful, but these two still had hopes to have their larger celebration.

Eventually the postponements went into 2021, and then into late 2021 — but finally, they were able to get the wedding they had always dreamed of!

Chelsea’s talented sister, Heather, designed both of Chelsea’s beautiful wedding dresses, and Chelsea looked absolutely stunning. I joked with Heather that I couldn’t wait to see next year’s dress, too! (Totally kidding, they’re capping their weddings at two.)

I am so happy that Chelsea and Matt were able to celebrate alongside all of their friends and family, and I couldn’t feel more lucky to have been a part of both of their special days. Congratulations to the Fantuzzis!
