A Romantically Rainy Wedding at The Madison Hotel

Morristown, New Jersey

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck for the future ahead, so Jenny and Brian’s marriage should certainly be full of luck! This fall has been so rainy so far (especially on Saturdays, to the Northeast wedding industry’s dismay) and sadly Jenny and Brian’s day saw rain from start to finish. Thankfully the newly renovated Madison Hotel had plenty of beautiful indoor spaces to offer, especially the beautiful conservatory which is the perfect light and airy setting for a dreamy ceremony.

These two first met in college! As Jenny tells it, “We both went to Penn State and met there at an apartment party (super romantic). We have been together over eight years and he popped the question on December 23, 2021 with both of our families there. With the help of my mom, he organized a nice dinner at a restaurant in my home town and had his parents show up for the big surprise! It was really such a great day and everything we both could have ever wanted.”

Jenny’s ring is so stunning. “Brian gave me a beautiful elongated cushion diamond in a solitaire setting and it’s absolutely perfect! I would occasionally send Brian pictures of the style of ring I wanted. When he decided it was time to propose, he worked with my sister to pick out the ring which made it even more special! He did great and the proposal was a total surprise two days before Christmas. I kind of thought it was happening either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, so he really did catch me off guard with his timing!”

Together these two live in Wharton, NJ and are huge Penn State football fans so they spend a lot of time in the fall going back for games with family and friends! When it’s not football season they love to go out to dinner, hang out with friends, and go on trips.

Jenny and Brian truly had the best mindset about their wedding day weather. Although it wasn’t ideal, they completely trusted us to authentically document their day and we were still able to get almost all of the photos they had always dreamed of. It was so special being a part of Jenny and Brian’s gorgeous celebration, and I wish them nothing but the best in their future together (with their sweet kitty, Penelope!). Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Aunspach!
