Christie and Tyler are officially married! These two had potentially the most beautiful May weather of all time (especially perfect for an oceanfront wedding!) and they truly deserved nothing less. We began the celebrations on Friday when they officially became husband and wife at St. Paul’s church in Princeton, then kept the party going through Saturday at Wave Resort in Long Branch!
Leading up to their wedding, the forecast was absolutely unbelievable for mid-May — over 90 degrees! However, for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the sea we couldn’t have hoped for anything better.
Christie and Tyler, although technically already married the evening before, separately prepped for their wedding day in the bright, luxurious, suites at Wave Resort. Floor to ceiling windows provided the most gorgeous natural light, and Christie was surprised by numerous gifts and letters from the always thoughtful and adoring Tyler. As she stepped into her stunning and intricately beaded Rachel Rose gown, everything began to feel so real! Her beautiful mother, Janice, buttoned her into the dress, and Christie shared emotional first looks with her bridesmaids as well as her dad.
But the most emotional first look, as expected, was with Tyler. He was nearly in tears before Christie was even in the room — in fact, his eyes welled up when he saw me because that’s the moment it felt real to him! When he turned around to see Christie for the first time that day though, it was an absolutely magical moment filled with so much love and emotion. Tyler couldn’t believe his eyes, and he truly couldn’t take them off his wife.
They read their vows privately on the rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean, and more happy tears were shed. Despite the heat, up on the sixth floor terrace it was surprisingly cool and a soft breeze twirled playfully amongst Christie’s long, blonde tresses. Their ceremony was held on the terrace as well, and Deacon Frank (who had married them in church the day before) made it doubly official! They seal their vows with a kiss — Christie’s veil flying out perfectly behind her — and then it was time to party! These two danced the night away with their guests, and it was an absolutely perfect day.
I have SO much love for this sweet couple. From the very beginning capturing their proposal nearly two years ago, I have felt such a special bond with Christie and Tyler and will never cease to be absolutely in awe of their love and devotion for each other. They truly deserve all of the happiness in the world, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them (and of course their furbaby, Ziggy).
