While I don’t often post family sessions (and am typically not a newborn photographer), working with Julie and Charlie to capture their new baby girl, Sienna’s, newborn photos was so incredibly special to me. I shot Julie and Charlie’s maternity photos this past July, so to be able to meet Sienna in person was so amazing.
We shot these photos in Julie and Charlie’s home, which could not have been more beautiful, light, and bright — basically, a photographer’s dream! While typically newborn photos are best done within the first two weeks after birth, due to scheduling conflicts we had to wait until Sienna was about a month old. This age is often more difficult to shoot because baby is usually awake for longer and tends to cry more and be more fussy. Sienna, however, was a natural model — although she had a few upset moments, for the most part she either slept or gazed adoringly at her incredible parents.
I can’t wait to capture more special moments for this growing family! Congratulations to Julie and Charlie on welcoming this sweet little girl into their lives.
