Kristin and Mike’s engagement story is definitely one for the books. I think this is seriously such a clever way to propose!
“We got engaged in Hoboken, New Jersey. Mike planned the whole day months in advance. He texted me one day while I was staying late at work and said he was walking out puppy around Hoboken, and that someone stopped him and wanted to take photos of Cooper for a new vet that was opening up in Hoboken. I totally believed him because we get stopped all the time from people say how cute Cooper is, and there was a new vet place opening! Mike told me that the photographer wanted to take pictures that weekend and that I should dress somewhat nice so that way she can take some pictures of all of us.”
“We get to the pier in Hoboken that Saturday morning and the woman starts taking photos of us and says, ‘I want to put some of our branded clothing on Cooper.’ So Mike and her started tying a bandana on Cooper and they turn around and Cooper’s bandana says, ‘Will you marry my dad?’ and then I saw Mike down on one knee, sweating haha!”
“It was the cutest moment ever and it didn’t stop there. We got back to our apartment after he proposed and my family was there and they decorated our whole apartment. Then, at night, he rented out the back room in a bar and ALL of our friends came out to celebrate that night. It was such an amazing day and I couldn’t of been happier with how everything went. Mike said he planned this for months and it definitely showed!”
I absolutely love Kristin and Mike’s love story, and I am so happy that I was able to capture these beautiful moments for them! Although we had to reschedule thanks to Tropical Storm Fay, we were finally able to make the session happen — and boy was it worth the wait! We had the most stunning backlighting right off the bat, and I loved getting to know this sweet couple and their pup, Cooper.
