Allison and Joey had truly one of the most beautiful weekends of the year to celebrate their love! These two live in Connecticut and chose the breathtaking Rolling Hills Country Club as the setting for their special day. As I made my way up from New Jersey, I was lucky enough to enjoy the stunning New England fall foliage along the way and was met with such gorgeous, crisp weather upon my arrival.
This sweet couple has been together for over seven years, and are college sweethearts! They first met at Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts when Joey was a senior and Allison was a junior. Their dorms were down the hall from each other and thanks to mingling friend groups, they became fast friends and eventually fell in love. The rest, as they say, is history!
Joey proposed to Allison on August 8, 2020 (one day before her birthday!). He arranged a “birthday dinner” at her parents’ house, with his parents there as well. When they arrived, there was champagne, roses, and a beautiful setup. Joey got down on one knee and proposed — and Allison, of course, said yes! It was made all the more special having all of their parents, and Allison’s brother, alongside them to celebrate their engagement. Little did she know, Joey had been secretly texting Allison’s mother for months to get a sense of what type of ring she would like. And he absolutely nailed it!
Rolling Hills Country Club was the perfect location to celebrate these two. From the beautiful grounds to the jaw dropping views, I had so much fun exploring and shooting around this property. These two decided not to share a first look, so they did not see each other before their ceremony. As Allison and her father walked down the aisle, in a very emotional moment sweet Joey fought back tears (and gave the reaction that every bride hopes for!).
I am so happy for Allison and Joey as they step into this next chapter together, congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. McGuire!
