Fun fact: I first shot Marisa and David several years ago before they were even engaged, on a verrrrry cold January day — simply because they wanted photos together for their apartment! Little did I know, fast forward to 2022 and I’d be shooting their engagement photos AND planning for their 2023 wedding! It was so much fun seeing these two again, and of course finally meeting their furbabies in person!
A how-they-met story after my own heart, Marisa and David met on the dating app Hinge! As Marisa tells it, “David sent me about 2-3 messages and was like, “Here’s my number. If you want to go out, cool. If not, no worries. I’m not going to message you for 10 days for it not to go anywhere.” Our first date was at Stingray Lounge in Hoboken.” Clearly David’s tactic worked, because they have been together ever since!
Marisa’s ring is absolutely stunning, an oval with a hidden halo set in a thin gold band. “It was EXACTLY what I wanted. I had no idea. The day before he proposed, I made some sort of comment along the lines of, “Okay your brother is married so when is it our turn?” And that’s how David knew I was completely oblivious.”
Together these two live in Jersey City and love going for walks, playing board games and trivia, playing with pups Kona and Brewer, and cooking! I cannot wait to get Marisa and David married next June at Perona Farms, it’s going to be such a special celebration!
