When Nicole reached out to me about taking holiday engagement photos before the end of the year, I couldn’t have been more excited! Sooo many of the uptown brownstones in Hoboken get SERIOUSLY decked out for the holidays, so I was all for soaking in the festiveness for a few more days of 2020.
Working with Nicole and Michael was so much fun! Although these two both went to the same college, the University of Scranton, somehow they never met — yet they had many mutual friends. In July of 2018, Nicole and Michael (finally!) officially met at Leggetts Sand Bar in Manasquan, New Jersey and have been together ever since.
Nicole, who has lived here in Hoboken for the past six years, persuaded Michael to join her on this side of the river from Manhattan in early 2020 — very shortly before COVID hit. During our session we joked that if you can live with your significant other in quarantine, you can pretty much make it through anything together!
A few months after moving in together, Michael popped the question! As Nicole describes it…
“We got engaged on December 4th at Hudson Yards — Michael planned a surprise day for us that ended in an engagement and dinner with our families. I thought we were going out for my 30th birthday, and was very thrown off! He even got a photographer to capture it all.”
In their spare time, this fun-loving Hoboken couple enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, going to concerts (pre-COVID, of course), working out together, and low key nights in. They are tying the knot in January 2022 at Battello in Jersey City, and I couldn’t be happier for them. Congratulations to Nicole and Michael!
